The LEGIONELLA LoRaWAN® Temperature Sensor is a smart; wireless solution designed to help facilities monitor hot and cold water temperatures throughout their building infrastructure. By continuously measuring pipe temperatures and securely transmitting data over a LoRaWAN® network; the sensor provides facilities teams with greater visibility into water system performance while supporting Legionella risk management programmes.
Ideal for hospitals; care homes; schools; hotels; leisure centres; and commercial buildings; the sensor enables remote temperature monitoring without the need for extensive cabling or regular manual checks. Installation is quick and unobtrusive; allowing organisations to expand monitoring coverage across multiple assets and locations with minimal disruption.
Powered by long-life lithium batteries and operating fully wirelessly; the sensor is designed for reliable long-term deployment. Temperature data is collected from a pipe-mounted probe and transmitted via a secure LoRaWAN® Class A network using AES end-to-end encryption; ensuring dependable communication and data security.
Advanced onboard processing and automatic self-calibration help deliver accurate and consistent temperature measurements across a wide operating range. Configurable sampling and reporting intervals allow the device to be tailored to the needs of each site; balancing reporting frequency with battery life and network performance.
With communication ranges of up to 5 km in suitable environments and an expected battery life of up to 10 years; the LEGIONELLA Temperature Sensor is particularly well suited to large estates and multi-building sites. The robust enclosure and compact form factor make it ideal for plant rooms; risers; service cupboards; and other indoor monitoring locations.
