Made using Toray 24/30T carbon; the rims have a 27.5mm external measurement which helps smooth airflow over the junction between the tyre and the rim; whilst the internal width of 20.3mm adds volume and stability to the tyre; supporting the sidewall and helping improve handling. As the rims come with tubeless tape already installed and tubeless valves; switching over to tubeless running is easy. This means that lower pressures can be used without fear of pinch punctures; providing better grip; more comfort and lower rolling resistance. A 102 tooth engagement ring in the Vel RE freehub ensures a super-rapid response to any pedal pressure; giving instant acceleration out of corners. The hubs themselves are made from CNC machined AL6061 aluminium with sealed bearings for low friction and easy maintenance; 12mm thru-axles and Center Lock rotor compatibility. Straight pull Pillar Wing spokes laced in a two-cross pattern link the hubs and rims; giving an efficient; accurate and strong platform for pedalling; steering and braking.
