At 60mm deep and 27.5mm wide; the blunt profile of the carbon rims cut through the air with the minimum of disruption; and provides good sidewall support for tyres up to 34mm wide. They are supplied with the tubeless tape fitted and tubeless valves in the box; so conversion to use without inner tubes is a simple affair. DT Swiss’ 240 EXP hubs are renowned for their low weight; reliability and smooth running. The 36 tooth ratchet in the rear hub provides very quick pick up when an acceleration is required and spreads the load more evenly than a standard pawl system for greater longevity. Similarly well known; Sapim’s bladed CX-Ray spokes have long been the performance benchmark; providing strength and compliance for a comfortable and efficient ride. To aid servicing and replacement; brass nipples have been used throughout; with spares supplied of both the spokes and nipples. Crash replacement policy Crashes; unexpected accidents and falls can happen under normal riding conditions; therefore if your product has been registered within 3 months of purchase we will offer to replace it with an identical or equivalent product up to 40% off RRP within the first 3 years of ownership. This crash replacement policy only applies to the original owner. Limited warranty Vel wheels come with a two-year limited warranty for manufacturing or material defects that would appear during normal use; with the exception of wear and tear parts. The warranty is extended to 3 years if registered within the first 3 months from the purchase date.
