It certainly is; thanks to Yaw technology. Where traditional derailleurs just shift from side to side; Yaw technology allows the Red derailleur to rotate ever so slightly when shifting up and down. This eliminates the need for shifter trim; ultimately creating a more precise and direct shift feeling. Also integrated into the derailleur is a chain spotter. This prevents your chain from slipping off and damaging your paintwork. The chain spotter can also be adjusted independent of the derailleur. The SRAM Red Yaw Braze-on Front Derailleur has been optimised for use with SRAM’s best-in-class X-GlideR chainrings; however; other chainrings can be used and the install markers make braze-on installation simple and quick.
