Wireless hardware is encased inside the ergonomically shaped hood body; and this partners with the easily operated buttons on the side of the lever to grant rapid and accurate gear shifts. The wireless signal is sent directly to the derailleurs and is powered by a single small CR1632 battery that lasts for up to two years. Usually actuating the front derailleur; this left-hand lever can be tuned via the E-TUBE app to offer personalised shift behaviour. The carbon lever actuates the rear hydraulic brake caliper with Servo Wave technology to increase control; while the one-piece caliper body increases rigidity and keeps weight to a minimum. The caliper includes oversized pistons to promote even power application on the rotor and operates with 10% more clearance to help avoid brake drag. Thanks to the self-adjusting hydraulic system; pad spacing is kept consistent; and a redesigned bleed port quickens installation and maintenance.
