Challenge Grifo Pro Handmade Clincher Cyclocross Tyre The Grifo Pro Handmade Clincher Cyclocross Tyre from Challenge utilises a tried-and-tested tread format; making it a great all-round option for CX racing and training. The more closely packed central lugs allow it to roll easily on hard-packed surfaces whilst the latitudinal bars give plenty of bite for accelerating and braking. On the shoulders; the tread is more widely spaced to afford grip on looser surfaces and when cornering. A high thread per inch count of 300 gives the casing excellent suppleness for grip and comfort; with the PPS (Puncture Protection Strip) between the tread and the SuperPoly casing protecting against punctures.
