A combination of Pertex® Quantum windproof fabric and a thermal fleece insulate and keep the wind off; while a DWR treatment repels rain and road spray in the event of a shower. To prevent chilly draughts at the neck; the collar is fleece-lined; and a water-resistant zip creates a further barrier to the elements. This zip is double ended; making it easier to access rear jersey pockets without opening up completely; and the gilet has its own zipped pocket to the back for storing essential items.
