DT Swiss Champion Spoke The company now known as DT Swiss has been drawing steel in Biel for over 350 years; and their spokes are still made entirely in-house in Switzerland to the highest standards of quality and workmanship. The black version of their classic all-round spoke for everyday use offers DT’s legendary quality and reliability; providing excellent value for money. The 14-gauge spoke is 2 mm thick throughout its length and is available in a wide range of sizes. It is made exclusively from Swedish X5 stainless steel; which is custom blended specifically for DT. The rolling of the nipple thread does not remove any metal from the spoke; preserving the grain of the material. This process maximises strength and greatly reduces the likelihood of failure at the threads; a common issue with lower quality spokes.
