POC Otocon Race MIPS Full Face MTB Helmet POC’s Otocon Race MIPS brings together advanced technologies to create a full face MTB helmet that offers the ultimate protection in a lightweight and well ventilated package. Mips® Integra seamlessly integrates rotational impact protection into the design to reduce the chances of both mild and more severe brain injuries. A dual-material liner combines EPP in the lower with EPS in the upper to balance durability and weight; and aramid bridges are moulded into the liner for structural stability and to enhance penetration protection. In the event of a fall; the peak can snap off to reduce excess forces on the neck; and this peak has an underside shaped to perfectly house a GoPro mount. Dialling in a good; secure fit is easy thanks to a Race Lock integrated adjuster and there are a few other features included to maximise comfort. The cheek pads can be removed for additional ventilation when climbing back up between enduro stages; and the open grill in the mouthpiece maximises airflow while still keeping mud and dirt out. The design includes a twICEme® NFC Medical ID chip that can be read by first responders or other riders with a smartphone; and there’s a RECCO® Reflector that makes it easier for rescue services to quickly locate you if something goes wrong.
